A construction crew working on the Highway 161 extension in Irving discovered a body last Sunday, June 21st, about a mile south of Highway 183, near Conflans Road.
According to Irving Police, it seems the man was walking along an elevated part of the highway construction when he fell about 25 feet (comparable to 2-stories) sometime on Saturday.
The Dallas County medical examiner's office identified the 60-year old man as Joseph William Bourek.
“He lived in an apartment complex near the site,” Irving police spokesman David Tull said Thursday. “He apparently would take walks in that area.”
Bourek's son had reported his father missing on Wednesday, June 24th. Irving Police said Bourek's injuries were consistent with a fall and they do not suspect foul play.
