Irving Police were dispatched at 3:40 pm to the Wash Masters in the 700 block of West LBJ Freeway (IH 635 & MacArthur Blvd) after receiving a 911 call reporting a man had been ensnared in the car wash.
Upon arrival officers applied a tourniquet to the 39-year-old to the badly injured man’s leg and began performing CPR. Irving Fire arrived on scene and used their specialized equipment to free the man from the machine.
The man was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His name has not been released, pending notification of his next of kin.
“This is a horrible accident,” said Irving Police spokesman, Robert Reeves.
