Trinity Railway Express Line Work on Feb 6 will Impact Irving Riders

BY IRVING WEEKLY STAFF

Irving, Texas. January 28, 2021

On Saturday, Feb. 6, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will be making track improvements between Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing and EBJ/Union stations. In addition, TxDOT is widening Medical District Drive from four to six lanes. As a result, DART will be running shuttle buses to replace trains between Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing, Medical/Market Center, Victory and EBJ/Union stations.

Passengers should allow for additional time beyond their normal commute if using these stations. DART advises riders to arrive at the affected stations 25-30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure times to board buses that will take them between stations.

MEDICAL/MARKET CENTER STATION

Be advised that the platform and crosswalk will not be accessible to passengers. Look for the DART bus shuttle at the red "Rail Disruption" sign to continue your trip. A temporary stop will be placed opposite this stop for westbound passengers. Medical District Drive will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Saturday, Feb. 6.
