Irving Residents Come to the Rescue of Woman after Car Ended Up Stuck on Flooded Street

Gena A Henderson, an Irving Resident, ended up stuck this week when streets in North Irving flooded.

"It happened about a mile from my apartment..it was raining really bad and flooding everywhere so I turned on a side street trying to get off the flooded street I was on..and well NOT a good idea - current caught me and it was over from there", posted Ms Henderson on her facebook page.

As seen in the video attached, a couple of strangers quickly came to the rescue.

The original video had been posted on Nexdoor with the following comment, "I wanted to thank my wonderful neighbors on Addington and Windsor. Today an unlucky woman got caught in a flood on Addington and had to get out of her car through the roof. Two guys got into the waist-deep water and pushed her out. They had the entire problem solved before authorities could come and help. One of them even stuck around and tried to fix the car! I love my neighborhood! Thank you for sticking together."

It's awesome to see Irving neighbors helping each other.
