Royal Treasures Of King Tut On Display At Irving South Library

Mark the 100th anniversary of the discovery of King Tut's tomb by visiting the South Irving Library, 601 S. Schulze Drive, from Feb. 12 to 28 to view 50 replicas of the boy king's artifacts. Reproductions include the royal gold mask, alabaster vases, statues and furniture. The exhibit is free and open to all ages, and it is made possible by the Museum of Modern Art and the Cairo Museum.

Continue the adventure into Egyptian history at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19 as South Irving Library hosts retired University of Texas at Arlington Egyptology Instructor Rollin Phipps for a discussion and a tour of the replicas.

This program is part of Royal Reads, the 2022 Adult Winter Reading Challenge.
