The city has received the Government Finance Officer Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Fiscal Year 2007-08
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the 26th consecutive year. GFOA established the achievement program in 1945 to encourage, assist and recognize state and local governments that go beyond the minimum requirements of accepted accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that exemplifies the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
