On Saturday, July 16, 2022, at approximately 8:39 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at the Parks at Cliff Creek Apartments located at 7310 Marvin D. Love Service Road. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported a 16-year-old female victim and a 17-year-old female to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. The 16-year-old victim died from her injuries, and the second victim remains at the hospital in stable condition.
The shooting occurred at the Mandalay Palms Apartments located at 7501 Chesterfield Drive.
The motive is unknown, and this is an active investigation.
