Euless Trinity High School Evacuated After Receiving Threat

Euless Police is investigating a threat to Trinity High School. The school was evacuated while law enforcement continued the investigation and searched the grounds.  The students were evacuated to the football field.

Euless Police say that the suspects have been detained and are being interviewed by investigators.  No students were injured or harmed.  

Some media outlets reported a shooting, but police say that "no shots have been fired."

An ambulance was called for a person who needed assistance during the evacuation, but the ambulance does not have any connection to the threat investigation.

"At this time, the Euless Police Department has given us permission to return to the school buildings. Suspects connected with the threat remain in police custody, and school staff are continuing to cooperate with law enforcement investigation of the threat. Please be assured that the district takes threats of this nature very seriously and will work with the local police department and any other authorities in all investigations.", said a release by the HEB ISD.

The School District was also providing counselors as needed to speak with students who need support due to today's threat.

UPDATE 9/2/2022: Euless Police investigated the incident and discovered that the threat was merely verbal. No explosive device was located on or around the campus. The suspect, a juvenile male, was detained at the scene.
