The Saginaw Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred late Wednesday evening.
At 11:50pm, Saginaw police were called to a shooting at a home in the 600 block of Oak Hollow Trail. When officers arrived, they located a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound inside the home.
Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. He was a resident of the home.
Police arrested a suspect at the scene who also lived at the home. The victim and suspect are related, but it is unclear how. The suspect has been charged with Murder.
The incident remains under investigation.
UPDATE: The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Daniel Higuita-Baquero, 20. His 18-year-old brother, Jony Alejandro Higuita-Baquero, has been arrested and faces a murder charge for the shooting of his brother. Both brothers have a criminal history. According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, in a 2021 case, they were both charged in the death of Adxel Melgar Caceres, 20, of Fort Worth.
