Site Selection magazine has ranked the Dallas-Fort Worth area as the third best market in 2009 for companies to relocate or to expand their existing corporate facilities. DFW ranked behind New York and Chicago.
What is Irving's Role in DFW's success?
Irving played a significant role according to the Chamber of Commerce, "The Chamber-managed Irving Economic Development Partnership contributed to 26 job creation and retention projects last year and was responsible for the addition of more than 3,100 new jobs. The program also retained approximately 780 jobs in Irving."
According to Site Selection magazine, Dallas-Fort Worth was selected by 135 companies in 2009 as the site of either a corporate expansion or relocation. Among these companies, some of the Irving-based expansions and relocations include: Caris Life Sciences, Forward Air, HMS, Hostess Brands, LifeSynch and the Universal Technical Institute.
