On December 7, 2022, Dallas Police made an arrest in the hit and run crash that killed 82-year-old Florence Kelly on November 7, 2022.
Dallas Police identified the suspect driver as a 12-year-old male and charged him with Murder.
Dallas Police Detectives had previously aked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in the hit-and-run crash on Royal Lane.
The suspect vehicle was identified as a gray Toyota Avalon with Texas license plate PKH5392.
The 12-year-old suspect and passengers in the Avalon abandoned the car and ran from the scene of the crash. According to Police, a 13-year-old girl was also in the Toyota and witnesses told investigators they saw two additional young females exit the vehicle and run.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
