Two Richland Hills Teens Arrested in Stabbing of Adult Victim

On Friday, January 20, 2023, at about 1:12 pm, the Richland Hills Police were dispatched to a fight in progress call that was escalated to a stabbing call outside an apartment in the 3800 block of Booth Calloway Road in Richland Hills, TX.

Responding officers located an 18-year-old male victim with multiple injuries to his lower extremities consistent with being caused by a sharp-edged weapon. Officers and witnesses provided first aid to the victim until Richland Hills Fire Department Paramedics arrived to take over treatment and provide transport to a local hospital. At this time the victim remains hospitalized and is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the initial investigation, two 16-year-old male suspects were identified as being involved in this incident. One of the suspects was located near the scene. After a brief search, the second suspect was located north of the apartment complex. Both suspects were taken into police custody without incident. The suspects were later transported and released to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center. One suspect is being charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and the other with Criminal Trespass. The names of the suspects will not be released due to being juveniles.

This is still an ongoing active investigation, however, based on the initial investigation it is believed that this was an isolated incident, and all involved have been identified. There were no other injuries reported.
