NTTA has issued an update on the progress of SH 161.
Beginning April 10, Phase 3 (a third lane in each direction from Egyptian Way
Construction of the main lanes and interchanges at I-20 and I-30 will begin soon, as will construction of the railroad underpass and at-grade intersection improvements at West Main and Jefferson Road Grand Prairie
The railroad crossings are scheduled to be completed in mid-2012, and the main lanes closer to the end of 2012.
