Physicians from Two Irving Hospitals bring in $364 million

Merritt Hawkins, a national physician search firm headquartered in Irving, has released the results of a survey of hospital chief financial officers, which shows that physicians are not only the primary providers of medical care but also key drivers of hospital revenue.
 
According to the survey, a single physician generates an average of $1,543,788 a year in net revenue on behalf of his or her affiliated hospital.
 
Between Baylor Irving and Las Colinas Medical Center, those two hospitals alone list 236 physicians, 118 members of each system, who practice in Irving.
 
Using the findings of the Merritt Hawkins survey, physicians from those two Irving hospitals bring in $364,333,968 in revenue each year.
