The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office says one driver died overnight in a crash at I35E and Walton Walker Blvd.
Just before 4:00 am this morning, a driver was traveling southbound on I35E when they collided with a concrete wall while merging onto Walton Walker Blvd from the interstate. The vehicle then burst into flames.
After Dallas Fire Rescue contained the vehicle fire, the driver was determined to be pronounced deceased at the scene.
Lanes of southbound I35E were closed for approximately three hours while DSO deputies investigated the scene.
