The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Wednesday evening along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 in Parker County.
At 8:16 pm, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Farm to Market Road 1189 west of Weatherford for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
A preliminary investigation determined a 21-year-old man attempted to run across the highway when he was struck by a vehicle and an 18-wheeler. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Neither driver was injured. Charges, if any, have not been announced.
All eastbound lanes of I20 were closed for hours while DPS investigated the scene.
