Chamber hosted an MSNBC producer from New York in Irving on March 29 and 30, who shot film for an upcoming episode of the MSNBC program Your Business.
The episode scheduled to air in May will profile the climate that is so favorable for businesses --small and large-- in Irving, and will pay particular focus to Irving's Blue Ribbon award-winning small businesses.
Two of these businesses, Rick's Independent Car Kare and Big State Drug, were the site of on-location filming.
The show telecasts nationally and internationally on Sundays at 6:30 a.m. (CST), with episodes re-airing the following Saturday at 4:30 a.m. (CST). The program is also carried on XM radio. In total, Irving will get nine minutes of coverage (a five minute segment followed by four minutes of panel discussion).
The Chamber's marketing and communications team successfully pitched this Irving success story to MSNBC news directors/reporters - securing great national/international and "free" coverage for Irving.
