A call was received this morning at around 11:00 am by 911 operators involving a possible rescue at a residence in the 900 block of West Dove Road in Southlake. When firefighters and police officers arrived at the scene, they found a 46-year-old man unconscious and suspended by a harness in a tree. Witnesses reported the man was a landscape employee who had been trimming trees on the property when he accidentally came in contact with a live electrical wire.
Firefighter paramedics worked quickly to reach the man in the tree and assess his condition for treatment, but they determined he was already deceased. Firefighters then worked to remove the man from the tree.
This investigation is ongoing and no additional information will be relased at this time pending notification of the man's next of kin.
