On March 2nd, at around 2:07 pm, Dallas Fire Rescue and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on northbound I35E near Riverfront Blvd just south of downtown Dallas.
The driver of an 18-wheeler jack-knifed the rig and hit the right median. Impact from the collision ruptured the truck’s saddle tank and caught the leaking fuel on fire.
Officials say the driver was not seriously hurt.
The resulting fuel spill snarled traffic for hours.
