On Friday, April 21, 2023, at approximately 3:44 p.m., Arlington FD, PD, and EMS responded to a wreck in the 2100 block of W. Bardin Road.
Investigators believe a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Bardin Road while an SUV was traveling in the westbound lanes. As the Mercury Mariner made a left hand turn onto 4700 Racquet Club Drive the motorcycle struck the SUV.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified him as a 19-year-old man of Fort Worth.
The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Based on evidence at the scene, investigators have not ruled out speed as a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing and there are no charges currently pending.
