The Denton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle that left the scene of Sunday’s fatal motorcycle crash on Robinson Road.
At 9:03 p.m. Sunday, April 30, officers responded to a major crash on Robinson Road near the Lakewood Estates mobile home park entrance. Multiple callers reported that a motorcycle had crashed into the back of an SUV. The motorcyclist, later identified as a 19-year-old man, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Evidence at the crash scene indicated that a third vehicle was involved. The preliminary investigation shows that an unknown vehicle initially rear-ended the motorcycle, then left.
Traffic investigators are examining evidence to determine the make and model of the suspect vehicle, which likely sustained front-end damage.
