On May 19, 2023 at approximately 3:25 pm Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 8200 block of Westchester.
The preliminary investigation determined that a man was shot at the location. The man, a security guard confronted a black male suspect breaking into a car at the scene. A fight broke out, and the suspect shot the victim.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The suspect left the scene in a gold sedan.
UPDATE May 20, 2023:
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Adalberto Santiago.
Police are still looking for the suspect. The suspect’s vehicle was found just before 5:00 pm on Friday in a closed business parking lot in the 2200 block of N. Cockrell Hill Road.
