The Medical & Surgical Clinic of Irving has announced that Mabel Zevallos, MD is joining their team of medical and surgical specialists. Zevallos becomes the first and only female gastroenterologist in Irving.
Zevallos is originally from Lima, Peru. She graduated in the 10 percent at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. She then completed internal medicine residency in the top 5 percent and was elected chief resident at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Ms. Zevallos' clinical areas of interest include digestive disorders in women, colorectal cancer screening, nutrition, functional gastrointestinal disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diseases of the liver, pancreas and biliary ducts and general gastroenterology.
