On Monday, June 26, 2023, at approximately 11:14 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to the 3700 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive (formerly Center Street) to investigate a single-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the driver of the motorcycle, a 28-year-old man Jarrin Stephens of Euless, Texas, lying unresponsive in the roadway. He was transported to Medical City Arlington where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries.
Based on their investigation, officers believe the motorcyclist was traveling northbound along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive when he struck the center median curb, lost control of the bike, and was thrown.
According to police, speed was a factor and Stephens was not wearing a helmet at the time.
