Dallas Police responded to a shooting call on May 1, 2023, at approximately 9:00 pm in the 4900 block of W. Illinois Avenue. Two suspects entered a business and attempted to access a back room but were stopped by the victim. During an attempt to search one of the suspects, the victim was shot.
To escape, the suspects shot out the front door of the business and fled in a dark grey Nissan Sentra. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
Dallas Police have released the surveillance video from the store's cameras and are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspects involved in the shooting.
