On the evening of July 11, 2023, a shooting incident occurred in the 8200 block of Willoughby Boulevard, resulting in six individuals being injured. The Dallas Police swiftly responded to a shooting call at approximately 9:00 p.m., after which they discovered that the victims had been shot at a different location in the 3000 block of South Lancaster.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the authorities revealed that the victims were engaged in an argument with unidentified suspects when the gunfire erupted. The perpetrators opened fire, striking all six individuals before fleeing the scene. The victims, whose identities have not been disclosed, sustained gunshot wounds during the altercation.
Emergency medical services were promptly dispatched to the scene, and two male victims were transported to a nearby hospital by the Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR). The remaining four victims, including a 37-year-old female, a 14-year-old male, a 15-year-old male, and an 18-year-old male, opted to self-transport themselves to a hospital. Fortunately, all six victims are reported to be in stable condition, alleviating concerns about life-threatening injuries.
At present, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
