A young father died Friday night after his mobile home exploded in the 400 block of Katherine Circle. Mauricio Busso, 29, was painting its walls when the explosion happened, family members said.
The Irving Fire Department said investigators found three paint cans in what was the hallway of the home. Two of those were sent to a lab for testing.

It happened around 7 p.m. at the Evening Shadows Mobile Home Park in the 400 block of Katherine Circle off of Beltline. Neighbors immediately knew something was wrong.
"They had heard a very loud explosion," said Irving Fire Department Assistant Chief Rusty Wilson. "They did see the victim outside the home and there was fire in the home."
The trailer home was blown apart by the force of the explosion.
Busso was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas for treatment, but could not overcome his injuries.
Busso was an Argentinian immigrant who is survived by his 27-year-old wife and their two children, who are six and two-years-old. Family members said Busso would spend his days at work, then fix-up the mobile home at night.
He was alone during the explosion, putting finishing touches on the mobile home, family members said. No foul play is suspected; fire officials said it appears something ignited flammable vapors in the air.
