The Dallas Police Department is actively investigating three separate homicides that have occurred in Southwest Dallas over the past few months. While the department has not confirmed a direct connection between the cases, they have discovered that at least two of the victims had potential ties to prostitution, adding a new dimension to the ongoing investigations.
The first incident took place on April 22, 2023, when Dallas Police discovered the lifeless body of Kimberly Robinson, a 60-year-old woman, in the 200 block of Sante Fe Avenue (case 067988-2023). Two months later, on June 24, 2023, Cherish Gibson, a 25-year-old woman, was found deceased in the same vicinity on Sante Fe Avenue (case 114807-2023). Most recently, on July 15, 2023, an unidentified adult female was located in the 800 block of Brazos Street (case 128286-2023).
Authorities are urging caution and public vigilance as they work diligently to solve these cases and determine if they are linked. With the discovery of the possible connection to prostitution in at least two of the incidents, the Dallas Police Department has decided to inform individuals involved in the sex trade to exercise extra caution for their safety.
