On August 3, 2023, the Dallas Police apprehended 28-year-old Raymond Guerra, who has been linked to a spree of aggravated robberies across the city. Guerra was taken into custody on four counts of Aggravated Robbery after a preliminary investigation connected him to at least seven separate incidents targeting both individuals and businesses.
The series of robberies began on July 28, 2023, and quickly escalated on August 2, when Guerra attempted to shoot an armed security guard during one of his criminal acts. Fortunately, the weapon malfunctioned, preventing any harm to the guard.
To track down the suspect, the Dallas Police enlisted the assistance of the Southwest Patrol CRT and Fugitive Unit, who collaborated with the Robbery Unit in executing arrest and search warrants related to the ongoing investigation.
The charges against Guerra are associated with the following incidents:

- August 2, 2023, 138908-2023, Aggravated Robbery Individual, 2100 block of Wilbur Street
- August 2, 2023, 138993-2023, Aggravated Robbery Business, 2300 block of W. Illinois Avenue
- August 3, 2023, 139482-2023, Aggravated Robbery Business, 2400 block of S. Hampton Road
Thanks to the execution of the search warrants, authorities were able to recover stolen property, a weapon believed to have been used in the crimes, and a substantial amount of cash.
