Irving's newly redesigned police vehicles were awarded first place recently by Law and Order Magazine in its 2010 Police Vehicle Design Contest. The new Irving patrol car was placed into service in February and won top honors for departments with more than 50 officers. Irving was judged with departments from the western half of the country, beating out nearly 300 other departments including Dallas which finished second to Irving.
