The incident unfolded on August 11, 2023, at around 7:00 am, when Dallas police responded to an emergency call in the 400 block of Hart Street. The initial findings from the investigation indicate that a 27-year-old male suspect, identified as Quinton Darden, allegedly shot another male individual. The victim died at the location according to Police.
Quinton Darden was apprehended at the scene by law enforcement. He is currently in police custody and has been formally charged with murder in connection with the shooting.

UPDATE: The deceased individual has been identified as 30-year-old Fabian Montel Sewell. The Dallas County Medical Examiner has determined the manner of death as homicide.
