An early morning fire on Fressia Lane sparked a rapid response from the Fort Worth Fire Department on August 20, 2023. Multiple calls were received by the Fort Worth Fire Alarm Office just minutes after 6 am, reporting a fire on the west side of the city.

Firefighters from Engine 23, Quint 23, Engine 43, Engine 30, and Battalion 5 rushed to the scene at the 9900 block of Fressia Lane. Upon arrival, smoke was seen billowing from the attic of a residence. The situation prompted an immediate call for an alarm assignment to tackle the blaze.

The two occupants of the house managed to escape the fire along with one of their dogs. Responding firefighters worked diligently and successfully rescued the second family dog, "Tabby," reuniting it with its relieved owner. However, the family tragically lost one of their cats in the incident.

While the fire caused significant damage to the property, there were no reported injuries among the residents or the firefighters involved in the operation.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
