The sad news of Officer John Kipp's passing was shared with Dallas Police Department employees via an email from Chief Eddie García on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. This marks the third tragic incident in recent weeks, following the suspected suicide of Dallas Police Officer Matthew Bacon and the off-duty fainting incident involving Senior Cpl. Jose De La Rocha, who sadly passed away in the hospital on August 20, 2023.
The Dallas Police Department and the entire community are grieving the loss of these officers, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding these incidents are ongoing.
