On August 30, 2023, at about 8:15 PM Dallas police responded to a call for service in the 8500 block of Old Hickory Trail. The preliminary investigation determined the victim, 23-year-old Anthony Carmichael, and a male suspect were involved in an argument that became physical, with the suspect choking the victim. The suspect left the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
On September 2, 2023, Anthony Carmichael died from his injuries.
A warrant was issued for the suspect, 25-year-old Jacob Carmichael, who will be charged with Murder.
