Irving Animal Services Temporarily Closed for Public Safety Due to Infection

Irving Animal Services, located at 4140 Valley View Ln, has temporarily closed its doors to the public for the next several days due to the presence of an animal infection known as Streptococcus equi. In the interest of public safety and the well-being of incoming animals, adoption visits and owner surrender intakes are temporarily suspended unless deemed necessary.

For the time being, if a resident of Irving encounters a stray dog, Irving Animal Services advises to keep it in their care to prevent potential transmission of the infection to other dogs.

Recognizing the inconvenience this temporary closure may cause, the Irving Animal Services team extends their gratitude for the community's patience and understanding. The primary objective is to ensure the safety of both the animals and staff members. The facility will reopen when it is safe to do so, without compromising the well-being of all parties involved.
