In the interest of public safety and the well-being of incoming animals, adoption visits and owner surrender intakes are temporarily suspended unless deemed necessary.
For the time being, if a resident of Irving encounters a stray dog, Irving Animal Services advises to keep it in their care to prevent potential transmission of the infection to other dogs.
