Westbound Rochelle Road Reopens with Restrictions; Metker Street Closure Begins

Starting on Tuesday, September 26, commuters in the area will experience changes in traffic patterns as part of an ongoing road improvement project. Westbound Rochelle Road, stretching from Toler Lane to MacArthur Boulevard, is set to reopen with just one lane available for travel. Westbound traffic will be allowed to cross the Rochelle/MacArthur intersection and proceed both north and south on MacArthur Boulevard.

However, eastbound traffic on Rochelle Road will remain detoured to the southbound lanes of MacArthur Boulevard. Additionally, Metker Street will be closed off at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard.

MacArthur Boulevard, which runs from Metker Street to Rochelle Road, will continue to operate with only one lane open in each direction—northbound and southbound—in the southbound lanes. Southbound traffic on MacArthur will not be permitted to make a left turn onto eastbound Rochelle Road during this phase of the project.

These traffic adjustments are anticipated to be in effect until late October, subject to favorable weather conditions. Motorists are strongly advised to explore alternative routes whenever possible and should be prepared for potential delays due to the ongoing construction work.
