On September 25, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 4800 block of Elsie Faye Heggins Street.
Initial findings from the preliminary investigation reveal that four individuals sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. Among the victims, three were inside an apartment - two women and one man - while another man was shot outside a nearby business located in the 4600 block of Elsie Faye Heggins Street.
One of the women, 19-year-old Savannah Rodriguez, died from her injuries.
The other female victim, along with the two injured men, were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions are reported as stable.
The investigation is ongoing and documented on case number 172577-2023.
UPDATE:
After further investigation, Dallas Police identified 27-year-old Jeremiah Moore as the suspect in this case.
On September 25, 2023, Moore was found and taken into custody in Donley County, located in the Texas Panhandle close to Amarillo. Moore will be charged with Murder and three counts of Aggravated Assault.
He is currently being held in Donley County.
