Police Searching for Hit and Run Suspect Who Struck Pedestrian on Malcolm X Blvd in South Dallas

The Dallas Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect and vehicle involved in a recent hit and run incident.

On the evening of September 23, 2023, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a hit and run collision in the 3300 block of S. Malcolm X Boulevard between Warren Ave and Birmingham Ave in South Dallas. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, operating a maroon SUV, struck a pedestrian while he was crossing the street and then fled the scene. The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Authorities describe the suspect's vehicle as a maroon Cadillac SRX, a mid-sized SUV.

The investigation is ongoing and documented on case number 171544-2023.
