Police Pursuit Through Residential Streets in North Richland Hills Ends in Arrests, Recovery of Stolen Gun and Drugs

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, North Richland Hills Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle on the Loop 820 access road. The vehicle, however, failed to stop and fled the scene, turning right onto Holiday Ln and then making another right onto Lola Dr. The pursuit continued down Lola Dr., passing the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and heading towards the elementary school zone at Holiday Heights Elementary School.

Concerns for public safety led the pursuing officer to slow down and eventually terminate the chase near Holiday Heights Elementary School. However, other officers were already making their way to the area to assist in locating the fleeing vehicle. After a brief search, the car was located, leading to a foot pursuit along the trail near Noreast Dr, Mary Dr, and Stone Dr.

Three subjects were eventually apprehended, two adults and one juvenile male.

During the arrest, police recovered guns and marijuana from the suspects. Further investigation revealed that one of the firearms had been reported stolen in Dallas. The three individuals are facing multiple charges related to weapons, drugs, and evading arrest.
