Bystander Injured After Shootout Between Groups at Big T Plaza Bazaar in Oak Cliff

DALLAS, Texas — A bystander was injured after gunfire erupted between two groups at a shopping center in Oak Cliff, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Officers responded around 2:43 p.m. April 5 to a shooting call at Big “T” Plaza bazaar in the 4500 block of Village Fair Drive in the Five Mile Creek area.

Preliminary investigation found that an altercation between two groups escalated into a shootout. During the exchange of gunfire, an uninvolved female bystander was struck in the leg.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators have identified six men as persons of interest. Surveillance video shows them entering the business, participating in the shooting and then leaving in a gray Honda CR-V and a black Dodge Charger.
