DALLAS, Texas — A 35-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning in Uptown Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Officers responded around 2:50 a.m. May 3 to a shooting call in the 2700 block of McKinney Avenue. Preliminary information indicates that Jeronimo Avila, 35, was shot by an unknown suspect who fled the scene before officers arrived.
Avila was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The investigation remains ongoing under case number 062828-2026.
