FEMA & the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will test the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts approximately at 1:20 p.m. CST/2:20 p.m. EST on Oct 4. Test alerts will be sent to cell phones, radios and televisions across the U.S.
Additionally, the City of Irving will conduct a quiet test of its Outdoor Warning System on Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. due to the national emergency alert testing that day. The system’s sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month.
