A devastating head-on collision between an SUV and a pickup truck occurred in the early hours of Monday, October 9, 2023, on the eastbound lanes of I-20 near Hulen Street, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the accident transpired at 2:54 am when the pickup truck, traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, collided head-on with the SUV.
Both drivers of the vehicles were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. A passenger from the SUV, which was struck by the wrong-way pickup truck, was rushed to JPS and is currently in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the individuals involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
