In the early morning hours of October 15, 2023, at approximately 4:45 a.m., the Dallas Police Department received a call for service in the 3500 block of W. Wheatland Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a shooting incident had occurred, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old man.
The preliminary investigation conducted by the Dallas Police Department indicated that the victim, identified as Shatodrick Stewart, was shot in the 4000 block of W. Camp Wisdom Road in Redbird. After sustaining gunshot wounds, Stewart was transported to Methodist Charlton Medical Center.
Shatodrick Stewart succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the identity of the suspect or suspects involved remain under investigation by law enforcement.
