Update, November 1, 2023: Further investigation determined the previously pictured vehicle/driver was not involved in the crash. Detectives have identified the involved driver, no charges have been filed in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
On October 30, 2023, around 3:40 pm, the Dallas Police Department responded to a hit and run crash in the 5100 block of Clover Haven Street near Buckner Blvd in East Dallas.
Preliminary findings from the investigation reveal that the vehicle (in the picture included, possibly a GMC Terrain) was exiting an alleyway and collided with a 13-year-old male who was riding a go-kart. The driver of the vehicle then reversed down the alley and fled the scene.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
