Dallas Police are currently investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the early hours of September 10, 2023. The incident took place in the 11000 block of Ables Lane, situated between Southwell Road and Walnut Hill Lane in Northwest Dallas.
At around 3:00 a.m., a white Chevrolet pickup truck was observed speeding northbound on Ables Lane. The vehicle attempted to overtake slower traffic and entered the southbound lanes in the process. The reckless maneuver led to a collision with a pedestrian who had just disembarked from another vehicle.
The driver of the white Chevrolet pickup truck did not stop after the collision and continued to travel northbound without rendering aid to the injured pedestrian. The victim sustained severe injuries as a result of the hit-and-run incident.
Dallas Police are actively investigating this incident and are appealing to the public for any information that may help identify the suspect driver.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
