The Irving Public Library invites residents to contribute to plans for the new South Irving Library facility by participating in one of the upcoming community input meetings. The meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and 20 at the Central Library, 801 W. Irving Blvd.
“We want the new South Irving Library to meet the needs of the community it will serve,” said Chris Dobson, library services manager. “Input from residents is crucial to achieving this goal.”
Interested residents will have the opportunity to provide input to city staff and the project architects. Residents who cannot attend the meetings are invited to visit http://www.cityofirving.org/and locate the “Public Input” tab on the homepage to provide written input. The new library will replace the existing Central Library location and is slated to open in late 2012. For more information, call (972) 721-2606.
