On the evening of Sunday, November 19, 2023, emergency services responded to a vehicle crash in the 2200 block of New York Avenue, near E. Arlington Avenue in the Hillside Morningside area. The Fort Worth Fire Department, Police Department, and MedStar EMS rushed to the scene at approximately 8:38 pm.
Upon arrival, responders discovered a vehicle with severe damage, having collided with a tree. The male driver sustained non-serious injuries, while a female passenger, identified as 28-year-old Erica Clarnell Richardson of South Fort Worth, suffered major injuries.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts by firefighters and paramedics at the scene and during transport to the hospital, Richardson was pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
