Department of Defense to Conduct Military Training Across Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

The Department of Defense has officially notified the Dallas Police Department about their upcoming military training exercise scheduled to take place across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex from December 4 to December 16, 2023.

The training will encompass air and ground mobility operations throughout the Metroplex, including the city of Dallas. In collaboration with other North Texas law enforcement agencies, the Dallas Police Department will be providing support to ensure the smooth execution of the Department of Defense's training objectives.

Stringent safety precautions have been implemented to safeguard both residents and participants involved in the exercise. While careful planning has been undertaken to minimize any impact on the community and private property, the public is advised to anticipate potential traffic delays during the specified period.

It's important to note that there will be no opportunities for public or media viewing of the training. The purpose of this advisory is to raise community awareness in the event residents come across any aspects of the military training exercise.

Authorities emphasize that this training is a scheduled exercise and is not a response to any current world events. The Department of Defense aims to conduct the exercise efficiently and with minimal disruption to the daily lives of residents in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
