Irving Animal Shelter is asking for the public's help...

Suspects

The Irving Police Department would like the publics help in identifying two suspects believed to be responsible for the theft of a dog on Saturday January 15th from the Irving Animal Care Campus located at 4140 Valley View Lane in Irving.

Animal shelter employees discovered the theft of Wylie, an 8 month old Argentine Dogo, during a routine inventory of the shelter. Upon finding that the dog was missing, a review of the surveillance video was conducted and it was discovered that the suspects (pictured below) took the dog over the fence and fled the scene. The animal shelter staff notified the Irving Police Department of the theft and police are now investigating the offense.

The Irving Animal Shelter takes pet adoption very seriously and they try to ensure that each pet adopted from the shelter is a good fit for the pet’s new family. The theft of an animal from the shelter prevents this important process from taking place so the shelter seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspects and locating Wylie.

If anyone has information on the identity of the suspects or the location of Wylie, please contact the Irving Police Department at 972-273-1010 or the Irving Animal Care Campus at 972-721-2258.

A $100 dollar reward is being offered by the Irving Animal Care Campus.

UPDATE: Two suspects were arrested through an anonymous tip and Wylie was returned to the Irving Animal Shelter.
